For Scout's Dad. We miss you and love you.

Scout ate rice cereal today! I just had to share this with her dad.

The rest of the weekend.

We ate lunch at a nice park, and went to a nature museum where my mom tried to fly away with Condor wings. She got stuck with us and we traveled in the car (see Scout looking cute in car seat). The other picture is the four gernerations on my mom's side.

Super fun, but we missed Cedric.

Dinner at the Outback and some bowling started the weekend off right.

It felt way bigger than it looked!

I was just about to go to bed. It had been a long day full of purchases, such as shoes for me and Scout. (courtesy of Grandma) As I was walking to the bathroom I felt something move underfoot. I jumped forward only slightly at first, then I leaped up to the bathroom counter. What was under my foot was a very small, yet very scary snake! Early on in the day the doors to the house had been open for a long period of time. My dad had left the stove on and a pan with bacon grease burned. Thus, filling up the house with smoke, so of course, the smoke had to be set free. This is why the doors were open. The little snake must have taken advantage and entered at that time. I screamed "snake" and my parents started with a plan to fix the problem. My Mom put on her boots and retrieved the broom from the closet. Just when she was about to attack the animal my Dad said,"Irene don't kill it." My Mom proceeded to whack the snake until death while saying, "Yes Jim, I'm going to kill it. I'm killing it." She sounded crazy. My Dad scooped the snake up and took it to the outside garbage as instructed by my Mom and myself. We all settled down and went to sleep. (Scout was not harmed, whacked, or woken by the beating of the snake)

For Cedric's (and others who miss us) enjoyment.

Samantha Scout and I are on a trip to California and then Reno for those of you who dont know what is going on. She misses her daddy very much! It seems as though her Gigi (greatgrandma) is her favorite here in Sacramento. The weather is great, but the pool is being worked on right now, so no swimming for us:( We have been enjoying walks and shopping though.

My parents house.

The very ugly yet handy stroller my mom got for Scout.

Gigi and Scout.

Scout got shot!

Today was one of those days. The kind of days people talk about on fast Sunday when they are talking about all their "trials." But, all is well and the family is happy. Here is Scout going through trials of her own. ~Sarah

Getting her four month shots (you'll notice the nurse's hand in stabbing motion).

Rasta Child

Scout and Bob go way back. They've been looking for a project to do together, and here it is!

Well-spent Sunday Afternoon

Scout is Ready for Her Close-up! This is indeed how things sometimes go down in the Anderson home on a Sunday afternoon.

Ced's Two Cents

I refuse to sit idly by while my wife calls me things like "responsible" as she did in her last post (below). She may think me a good guy, but I live everyday in her shadow. I could not have asked for a more lovely and righteous lady to be with. She keeps this family floating in every way. She was sick today and could not attend church and when Scout and I got home she was watching church history videos. I love this woman!

Seriously, she's the best-looking woman I have ever clapped eyes on.

Responsibility (sarah's first post)

You know what sounds the best right now? Being with any one of our "rich and famous" lifestyle living friends. If we were with our friends we could be getting a gorgeous glow from the Hawaiian sun or hanging at the local cantina in Cancun. But, you know what is even better....having the knowledge that Cedric is a responsible dad and husband who is working toward personal and family goals. I guess you can't have it all, well all at once that is. Hawaii, Cancun, the Anderson are coming. (in ten years, ha ha)
