This is Halloween!
This weekend, Sarah and I attended the Second Annual Nick and Julie Escobedo Family Halloween Party. This year certainly lived up to the reputation that the party received last year, and then some. Nick and Julie probably make monthly payments on this party because they had enough pizza, chili, donuts, etc, to feed a large army of giant starving desert sloths. Many activities from apple-bobbing to dancing to a costume contest (with 100 bones as the grand prize)were activated and a good time was had by all. Sarah and I dressed as basketball players and Scout was our basketball.

The Basketball Squad- Ready for Action!

We promise not to treat Scout like a basketball after she's born... depending on how bouncy she is.

Our good friends Shane (Spider-Man) and Maria (Mary-Jane) Oka.

Brother Rose looking his best.

Nick- Trying to out-do last year's costume and looking fabulous?

A fireside chat with Spidey (may be a once in a lifetime opportunity).

Hanging out in the room designed for Sean Connery era James Bond villains.

Witches and Wassail
Cedric completed his twenty-fifth year of existence today. To celebrate, Sarah took him to Gardener Village (an old mill town built mainly by a third-great polygamist grandfather of Cedric) for dinner and Witches Night on Saturday. There were a lot of witches and also delicious fish and chips in the restaurant that was once a flour mill. Sunday night brought some delicious treats- including cheesecake and home-made cider (or wassail for those who wear turtle-necks) by Sarah, chocolate pudding cake by Callie and naturally grown caramel apples from Hannah's caramel apple tree. Cedric is now a quarter-century old and feeling wise and aged as a fine wine. Big thanks to his Mom and Dad for birthing and raising him.

Poetry Corner #1
Here is a piece of Halloween poetry for your reading pleasure.
"Halloween at My House"
Skeletons and witches march along the garden path
while ghosts and goblins rise up from the drain inside the bath.
Zombies lose their body parts along the kitchen floor
and little devils loudly tap upon my bedroom door.
The monsters underneath my bed have never been too bad,
but I'm pretty sure the closet-monster ate my mom and dad.
You'd think me frightened after having witnessed such a scene,
but every year I have a very Happy Halloween

Cedric To The Rescue
Today while Cedric and Sarah were eating lunch and watching the television program "The Office", Sarah's funny bone was tickled. Sarah began to laugh so hard that she started to choke on a piece of chicken. Cedric, taking quick stock of the situation (as super-people normally do), smacked Sarah on the back very heartily which served both to dis-lodge the chicken from Sarah's throat and as a much-needed stress relief for Cedric. Here are some post-rescue pictures of Sarah (note the tears of joy over having a super-husband).

Sealing Pictures- July 25th 2007
On the Twenty-Fifth of July, year Two-Thousand and Seven, Sarah and Cedric Anderson were sealed for Time and All Eternity. Their really awesome friend, Jon Canlas (who happens to be the greatest photographer in Utah, and probably the world/universe), volunteered to document the happenings. They very much appreciate his awesome work and decided to feature some of their personal favorites on their web log. Thanks Jon!

This one looks like Mom is being swallowed whole by the offspring she produced. Circle of life, man. Circle of life.

Jordan, Cedric, and a nice homeless fellow who just needed somewhere to be.

Super-classy, if I do say so myself.

Pictures Of Scout!
Here are some Ultrasound pictures of the infamous Samantha Scout Anderson (we left out the one where she was making an obscene gesture towards the camera). It may just be that I'm her dad, but I think besides the fact that she looks kind of like an alien, she's kind of cute.

Here you can see her spinal column (it looks just like her mom's!)

here is her profile (strange...this one looks just like the milkman...)

Here's Scout waving hello to her adoring fans (this was the picture they took right before the picture of the obscene gesture).

FISHING!
Grant invited us to spend a weekend in the Fairview area of Utah with he and his then-friend, now-girlfriend (and now unfortunately ex-girlfriend as of about 10-18-07), Carlie. We went fishing on a lake called Electric Lake (I know what you're thinking, and I thought it would be a lot more like Las Vegas too...). After fishing we went to a cabin owned by Grant's aunts and uncles (at least that's what he told us. The pictures on the wall were all of black people... but I guess Grant's relatives could be black). Anyway, it was an amazing weekend and we will never forget it.

Grant, Carlie, Cedric and Sarah. Ready to conquer the Electric Lake.

Sarah and Cedric looking rather dapper in their life-jackets.

Sarah holding Chester, the fish we caught, and Cedric admiring it in hill-billy fashion.

Sarah really is pregnant
A lot of ladies who encounter Sarah more than once in a month tend to say things like, "Oh, I forgot you were pregnant... you're so skinny!" or, "When are you due, some time next year, right?" or, "You're husband is so cool... did he go to Cool School and graduate at the top of his class or something?" The point is, I agree with these ladies that Sarah is a stunning pregnant lady. I do feel it necessary, however, to post a couple photos to prove that Sarah is truly 7 and a half months pregnant. As the young Mexican sister in our ward told Sarah recently- "Ju look so cute weeth your leetle tummy."

Before seven months of pregnancy

During seven months of pregnancy.
I am a lucky man to have such a beautiful wife.

Anderson/Canlas/Stevenson Family Home Evening Campfire Extravaganza
Tonight we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows at Hannah and Jeph's home in American Fork. Sarah gave the spiritual lesson which consisted of a fun game in which one had to act out a certain "Be" attitude (those of President Hinkley). Many hot dogs, marshmallows, sodas, graham crackers, and chocolate were consumed and a good time was had by all. Here are some pictures of the happenings.

Hannah, Sarah and some scary guy from the woods.

Ilah drools chocolate. She'll be rich someday.

Happy to be Hobos.

The whole crew.

Web-Loggers at Last!
Sarah and I have been dodging the idea of having a web log because we never really felt up to the task of keeping ourselves and others updated on our life. We used the excuse that we didn't own a digital camera and since no one cares about reading a web log (no matter how juicy it may be), but only about what kind of pictures may be posted thereon, we felt we had a pretty solid reason not to keep up with all our friends and family... technologically and journalistically speaking. Well, now we have a digital camera and will soon be moving away from a lot of great friends, so we should certainly keep them posted on our comings and goings (it's the least we can do for such nice people). As we write, hopefully, we'll think to throw in all the things that happened in the last year and two months of marital bliss. Either way- strap in, grab a soda, throw on your 3-D specs and enjoy the life of Cedric and Sarah (and soon-to-be Scout) Anderson!
